» Can you name any member of the Obama administration who opposed the Iraq war?
Other than Obama himself...or so he said.Clinton supported it, heck she campaigned for an invasion of Iraq. (Obama was told to be against it; he was never against it himself until it became popular to be against it. In 2004, he told the Chicago Tribune that his views were about the same as Bush.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWAbCphSc... It took 18 months to arrive at the decision to invade Iraq. We were attacked 9-11-01. We invaded Iraq in March of 2003. The vote in the Senate was very well thought out. They had plenty of time to stick their finger up in the wind or read intelligence reports."....or so he said." Exactly. Obama said what people wanted to hear. It was very easy for him to say that because he did not have a...... - 2009-07-02
» Have you ever been to a wedding where it was suddenly called off?
It happens all the time on movies, so I was curious if it ever happens in real life. Have you been to one or know someone who's been to one? What happened??A friend's friends wedding was called off about 4 days before it was going to happen. He cheated on her only a month before the wedding and had cheated on her during the duration of their relationship. It all finally came out in the open. I felt so bad for the girl. There were tons of nasty rumors and gossip about both of them going around. It was terrible. But, it does happen in real life.No I have never been to a wedding (or not been to a wedding) that was suddenly called off....... - 2009-07-02
» Movies produced by John J Lee Jr
Looking for a list of movies produced by John J Lee Jr or involving him.Coming up with a full list of films he has been involved with may be difficult since it looks like he has had his hands in various aspects of movies: "He has acquired screenplays and motion picture rights to novels, and negotiated, managed and/or performed virtually every other business function of motion picture development, production, US and foreign theatrical and ancillary distribution." above quote from http://www.ebgroup.net/about%20us.htm IMdB doesn't list him as a Producer for any films, perhaps because his role has typically been different from the regular day-to-day producer role. In any case, the About Us page listed above has contact information th...... - 2009-07-02

CIDRAP - US agencies report plans to detect H5N1 in birds Amy L. Becker http://www.cidrap.umn.edu/cidrap/images/purple-speck.gif Staff Writer Mar 20, 2006 (CIDRAP News) – The chiefs of three federal agencies, predicting that the H5N1 avian influenza virus will enter the United States, today unveiled their joint plan for quickly detecting the virus. "We're closely monitoring the rapid spread of the H5N1 virus overseas," said Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns. "We now believe it is likely that we will detect it within our borders in the United States. It is critically important to understand that the detection of this virus among birds will not signal the start of a pandemic among people. The tim...... - 2009-07-02

» Looking for rap/hip-hop song?
Okay, note first of all : I do not remember much except one part. Second of all, do not tell me it's R. Kelly cause I know for a fact it's not by him. It's sounds like rap/hip-hop/R&B, whatever the difference it is. Definitly with a up-beat to it. It 'sounds' like the lyrics goes (and I'm guessing since I only heard it twice though I have the beat in my head) ""bumpy, bumpy and a grinding"". The first bumpy (or bumping?) has the long 'e' sound. I know, not much to go on and I repeat, do not tell me it's R. Kelly! I wish I had more to go on, but the beat is the only thing I have and I have no idea on how to explain it other then 'up-beat'.r-kellyi know a bunch of songs with thos...... - 2009-07-02

Or, do liberals use government to take from those who work and pay taxes to line their pockets?I've been self-sufficient since 1966...and I am describing myself as liberal, although I am a liberal Republican. I have a substantial amount in investments. I also receive 100% VA Disability...and I earned it. I will also file for Social Security when I am 62. I proudly pay my taxes, without complaint. Any more questions? I also do charitable work and make charitable contributions, which are none of your effing business. » volume of neonate's lungs
I need to know the volume of a neonate's lungs at age 28 months. Specifically, how much liquid can the lung of a neonate hold at this age?The term "neonate" is generally used to refer to a newborn infant, so I need to make sure I understand your question correctly. Do you really want the lung volume of a 28 month old child? And does it need to be precisely 28 months, or would a general statistic for a 2 year old child be adequate? Or did you actually have another age (28 days?) in mind all together? Also, since the lung generally fills with gas, not liquid, I presume volumes based on the capacity of the lungs to fill with air are acceptable to you. Can you confirm this for me, please. Thanks. To clarify my question: The neo...... - 2009-07-02
» Are black men the world's most masculine?
U can line a black man next to a same size white man...it always seems like the black man is more manly... Why is that?i think the reason being there is something about the black race that just oozes sex appeal it would be fair to say put a naked black woman next to a naked white woman and the black woman wins everytimeThere are more black men that go to prison while white men go to school. In prison, you lift weights to look stronger than the other guy. Also, in poorer communities, the only thing you have is your looks, so you work out. In white communities, it's more about who has the better job. Compare your average guy from prison and compare your average guy walking about of a company. The guy from prison is larger. "The trial with the vaccine would expand the Sanofi Pasteur's preparation to the flu pandemic, which is initiated with the development of H5N1 vaccine," the statement said. The company also said that while most vaccine development has focused on H5N1 strains, the H7 avian viruses remain a significant pandemic threat. » This is a complicated question?
I have asked this question a few hours back and it turned into a disaster. So I'm asking it again and adding more detail so please bear with me as i know its a bit out stretched. In the previous question I asked whether or not straight men have ever seen a picture of a hot/muscular guy and then had an erection as a result. why I'm asking is because I'm curious about it. It did happen to me,butt I know I'm not gay,I'm not in denial or anything,I don't see myself with a man, ghee, even saying that makes me feel groused out. I didn't have male influence growing up so i don't know how it is amongst other men, that's why I'm asking. between my male straight friends I've discovered some...... - 2009-07-02

I'm MA student at Geography faculty. I need to write a work of 3000 words about "Uneven development" or "Unequal development" in any country or region in the world. Due to technical reasons, I'm currently unable to use a library in the university. Therefore, I must find enough material on this topic on the WEB. Basic requirements for the material that I can use for this work are: 1. it must be from some known magazine or periodical. 2. it must be written by some known author. 3. it must have a name. by the word "known" I mean, that an article must bear the author's name, the name of the source ( regular magazine/periodical or online magazine that it was taken from) and the name of this article itself. HI all...you will perhaps of had this question before so please bear with me as I don't even know the name of what I am trying to do. The goal: To create a shot in which the model/object is isolated in blackness, ie: object is lit and background, sides are deeply black. I have some ideas...first off I imagine I need a completely dark room and must work with decent lighting and reflective material. I have two lights with stands and bright "day" bulbs, how would I place these? As to f/stop...I am thinking I would need/want to shoot it with it wide open for blurred black background, and closed for plain black (if there is such a thing as a blurred black anyways;). Does this sound right? And lastly, is there some met...... - 2009-07-02
» To propose with a ring or without?
Both me and my girl are fairly particular with our tastes in just about everything. I have bought her jewelry before but I'm not completely confident in what her taste in engagement ring would be. I personally am struggling with the idea of proposing and then taking her out to get a ring since I know she would worry about the cost (not because I can't afford it, but because that's just the type of person she is). Plus, I don't want to ruin it for her since it seems like every woman wants to be proposed to with a ring in hand, but I could be just generalizing. So... what are some of your opinions on proposing sans ring? Keep in mind that if I were to buy first then propose, I would get something really nice and I don...... - 2009-07-02

On February 2, I posed a question about uploading digital pictures from my computer to the compactflash card in my Canon PowerShot A40. » About Telescopic mascara !?
what's better ? the golden or the silvery one ? and , what's the difference ? The golden one is just the normal one and the silver is called high definition. I have had both and find the gold one to be much better at lengthening, wheras the silver one is good for a more intense look. However, it still lacks the lenthening ability of the golden one. (:I use the silver one and it sure is waterproof because it doesn't smudge. I personally prefer the silver one because waterproof mascara is always the choice. I have come across this in Clifford Odet's play, The Country Girl, that I'm acting in at the moment. I don't understand what it means, so where the emphasis or emotion should lie. L'Indonésie n'arrive pas à éradiquer le H5N1 Le gouvernement de Jakarta a identifié certaines des raisons de son échec face au virus de la grippe aviaire. » Effect of megapixels on print size
What is the effect of megapixel count on the maximum size print one can make from a picture? I'm trying to decide between a used EOS-1D and a new 20d, and I'm concerned with the small pixel count on the 1D. I have a rebel now which of course is 6.3 ThanksIt depends on the sensor. I've heard that you can get just as good of pix from the 1D as from the 20D, but I'm not convinced. If it were me, I'd either get the 1D MK II or the 20D. Not the 1D itself. :) MMegapixels directly affect print size. If you want a high res 16x20 print, it's 4800 x 6000 pixels at 300dpi. An 8 mp camera won't have to stretch as far to get those dimensions. However, if a 6.3mp jpg has less noise and is sharper than an 8mp one, it will look better at a ...... - 2009-07-02

Hello-hello, I just picked up an SB-800 for my D70. Despite the dizzying amount of control it provides, I managed to set and practice all but a few functions, including wireless control of the unit using my D70 as the master, ("Commander" mode) . Couple of questions: 1. I can't seem to make the High Speed Flash Sync 'FP' come on... the one that allows flash sync speed above and beyond what the camera provides. According to the manual, I'm sure it's supposed to work on the D70, and it's supposed to come on automatically when I select a shutter speed of less than 1/500. Instead, the shutter speed is limited to 1/500 when the flash is attached. 2. Did I miss something, or is there no way to turn off the D70's speedlight when ...... - 2009-07-02

Music plays fine, some videos play fine. Have I got this right. When a guest registers, they become a member of the default 'registered' user group. To allow them access to a special forum, I would need to create a new user group caled 'special forum' and then encourage them to subscribe to this group via the subscription manager. My first question is, are they then added to this group, in addition to the default registered group?. Secondly, if they a month later purchased access to another group that I set up called 'avatars' that allowed large avatars, are they then a member of all three groups?. I am trying to figure how this would work with WorldPay's Future-Pay system. I guess each subscription would create a new recurring payment, so for example next year in Octob...... - 2009-07-02

» Can ostrich eggs be unfertilized?
I know that hens can lay eggs regardless of fertilization status. What about ostriches? Can they lay eggs without being fertilized, like hens, or must they be fertilized before they lay eggs? All adult female birds sometimes lay unfertilized eggs. If it were otherwise, and mating didn't occur for some reason or other, then it'd go off internally and leave no room for a fresh one to develop. Update As it's very unusual for a female echidna to breed as often as once a year, that can't be true. Twice every three years is more active than average in echidna terms.Only birds lay a bird type egg, and all birds except the domesticated fowl, wait until the egg is fertile to lay. » (Sigma) 28-70 vs 24-70
Ok, here's my question. Right now I've got my (bad) 18-55 lens that came in with my camera and a Sigma 70-200 f2,8 (which I'm quite happy with). I'd like to get a better lens with less zoom than the 70-200, but if possible, something that covers the distance not used by the 18-55 nor the 70-200. So I ended up with these two lenses: Sigma 24-70 F2,8 EX DG MACRO C for 475 and the Sigma 28-70 F2,8 EX DG C for 338 Quite a lot of difference in price for the minor zoom / Macro option. The type of photography I like most is street photography, so I don't really need the macro (my 70-200 is also a "macro" one, so when photographing still life / flowers I'll just use that one I guess). So, to ...... - 2009-07-02

Same as when the 360 got the Falcon chips which led to Septembers price cut. However Sony will have to deny it. Common business sense. Cos if they say "Yes It'll be cheaper in March" then folks will probably skip getting it at Xmas. i want to know if there's anything i should be looking for when i buy one, to ensure that i get a camera that will last me a good while and will take very nice picturesMany people would consider the higher the megapixel = the better the camera. WRONG. my 6.1 Canon Rebel will outdo any 10 MP Kodak. Megapixels are important, but so are good quality lenses that are made of glass, not plastic. Also, make sure the camera has an Adjustable ISO. What ISO is, is the speed at which the image burns itself into the camera (in the old days, it's the speed at which the image burns itself onto the film.) My question is whether we need to use EJB for this project. All the reports are basically SELECTS on a DB table. It involves some complex processing of data retreived but no data modifications. Hi - I'm interested in getting a list of freelance searchers/information intermediaries, with the thought that I would start hiring someone occasionally. Google Answers is nice, but a bit inflexible as a way of interacting.
